Skinny Moose Munch
I discovered Moose Munch when I was at my heaviest. That's right, meeting Harry and David was not good news for the size of my rear end. Now, thanks to 100-calorie bags of popcorn and a little bit of melted dark chocolate, I can have Moose Munch every day if I want to, and not feel the slightest bit guilty about it.
Ready in: 30 minutes
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 100-calorie bag of popcorn
1. Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler by bringing 1 cup of water to a boil in a small sauce pan. Put the chocolate chips in a glass bowl, and place the bowl over the sauce pan. If the water in the sauce pan touches the bottom of the bowl, pour some out to avoid the chocolate from burning. Allow the chocolate chips to melt, stirring occasionally until the chocolate is smooth.*
2. Prepare the popcorn in the microwave according to package instructions. When the popcorn is ready, pour it onto a wide sheet tray or large plate in an even layer.
3. Use a spoon to drizzle the melted chocolate all over the popcorn. Put the tray in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
*You can also melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until the chocolate melts.
