Who doesn't love a good grilled cheese? Salty, gooey, creamy and crispy, all at the same time. Today for breakfast my take on grilled cheese today was a "boiled cheese" and it was just as good.
Ready in: 10 minutes
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 egg, beaten
1 slice ham
1 slice whole grain bread
2 slices swiss cheese
1. Preheat your broiler to the highest setting.
2. In the meantime, heat the olive oil in a small, nonstick pan over medium heat. Pour the egg into the pan, and cover with lid until the egg is set. Add the slice of ham and fold the egg over. You are essentially making an omelet.
3. Place the bread on a baking sheet and top with the cooked egg and swiss cheese. Place under the broiler for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is brown and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are toasted.
