Skinny Monkey Oats
This is hardly a recipe, but it's a great idea. I used to hate oatmeal, until I learned how to make it delicious. I was on the treadmill this morning thinking of what I would have post workout, and I thought of this recipe. It definitely hit the spot after a good run.

I just made the Monkey Oats, all I had with me was hershey's cocoa powder so I think it might taste better with a higher quality. I also found it to be a tad bit too bitter so I added maybe a 1/2 a teaspoon of honey (if that much) and a few almonds to give it some crunch. Now it is super tasty! Thanks for the great idea, it is definitely a go to breakfast for me now :)

I just came across your blog and saw this recipe. I did something similar last week. 1/c oats, 1 tsp. cocoa powder, 2 tsp. sugar (I'm trying my best to lay the stuff down), a dash of cinnamon...cook for 1 minute 15 seconds. Top with 1 Tbs. flaxseeds....it was awesome! I will try the banana instead of sugar next!

This morning, I mixed a packet of Sugar Free Apple Cider mix into my quick cook oats. Very good!

I used vanilla almond milk instead of water. It gave it a nice flavor. I didn't have cocoa so I put in a handful of dark chocolate chips and added some cinnamon. Delicious!!!
