Chez Moi
Steak & Strawberry Salad
...because I don't have to go to a pricey steakhouse to eat something this good. Believe it or not, this dish comes together in 10 minutes. In the time the steak cooks, you can assemble the salad - homemade dressing, and all!

Serves: 1
Ready in: 10 minutes

You'll Need:
1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
1 6-8 ounce lean steak
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon agave
2-3 cups mixed greens2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1/4 cup sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons feta or goat cheese crumbles

Here's How:
1. Heat half a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium high heat. Season the steak on both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and let it sit for a few minutes.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the balsamic vinegar, remaining olive oil, agave and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the greens and basil, and toss until they are coated.
3. Transfer the greens to a large plate. Arrange the strawberries and cheese over the top. Slice the steak, and place over the greens.

Thank you, this looks DELISH!! What I am wondering is the calorie count for this, and I guess beyond that, do YOU count calories or just take the steps to an all around more healthful lifestyle? I'm trying to figure my own walk out...
Thank you! Blessings to you!
