D.I.Y. Waffles
This recipe really surprised me! It turns out homemade waffles are super simple to make, plus fast and not messy at all. I will definitely be making my own from now on and throwing in a twist here and there. Stay tuned!

You'll Need:
1 egg + 1 egg white
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt

Here's How:
1. Preheat the waffle maker to medium.
2. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, canola oil, milk, vanilla and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
3. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined and still lumpy.
4. Lightly coat the waffle iron with cooking spray or rub a little bit of canola oil with a paper towel (carefully!). Use a ladle to pour about 1/3 cup of batter over the waffle iron. Close and cook until the red light turns green - in my case, this took less than a minute. Remove and repeat.

Love that you have recipes that use whole wheat flour. Looking forward to making the waffles.
My only question is, how many is this supposed to feed. I know that ingredients are important for weight watching but portion control is also. Thx and keep coming up with new recipes.

Does it have to be wheat flour?
Can it just be plain?

You can use white, but whole wheat is healthier =)
