You can make this yourself in less time than it would take to have it delivered. Plus, less fat, less sodium, less sugar and no weird additives.

You'll Need:

1 5-8 oz. lean steak (sirloin, flank)
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
brown rice to serve
chopped cilantro or green onion for garnish

Here's How:
1. Combine the soy sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce and 2 tsp canola oil in a bowl. Set aside.
2. Trim off the excess fat from the steak and cut into thin slices. (Tip: Place it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before slicing.)
3. Heat 1 tablespoon of the canola oil in a large, non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the strips of beef and cook for about 30 seconds per side. Add the prepared sauce to the pan, stir, then serve over the rice. Garnish with chopped cilantro or scallions.

Hi!
I just wanted to say thanks for all of your amazing meals. I love that they don't use too many ingredients and they are mostly all very quick meals. I've struggled with my weight for my whole life...hitting 190 lbs at age 16. I'm down to 140 and I'm 25 but I don't know what else to do to get the last 15-20 lbs off, so I am always looking for new inspiring recipes! I also am a self-taught cook and love doing it!
Thanks again for sharing your inspiring journey!

Stephanie

This may be silly..but I'm braaaaand new to cooking - what heat setting do I use when heating the canola oil and cooking the beef?
Thank you :)

don't worry! I know a guy who tried to make a toasted cheese in his toaster and set his crockpot ablaze :) ! Id say leave it on medium heat on your stove top, its not too much but just enough to it gets that's nice seared brown color :). just make sure to keep an eye on it because this type of steak being thin cooks quickly

Thanks so much for all of your recipes! I tried this one and my husband thinks it's fantastic. :) So nice to be able to have something that tastes better than takeout and so much healthier.
