The Best Banana Bread
This banana bread only tastes like it's sinful, but it's actually really good for you with 100% whole wheat flour and chunky bits of banana.

You'll Need:
2 large bananas
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup raisins
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
cooking spray for baking

Here's How:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Add the bananas, canola oil, brown sugar, milk and vanilla to a bowl. Mash and mix together using a potato masher, making sure the bananas stay chunky.
3. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Add to the wet ingredients, along with the raisins, and mix until just combined -- don't overmix.
4. Transfer the batter to a loaf pan that's been coated with cooking spray for baking (or lined with parchment paper for less fat). Bake 45 minutes, or until a knife or pick inserted into the bread comes out clean.

So excited to try this! I've been looking for a good whole-wheat banana bread recipe...too many have a mixture of white and wheat flour

This is exceptionally good banana bread! I have been making banana bread for years and have tried numerous times to lighten it using whole wheat flour and it never turned out well until I tried this one. I did use three bananas (just because I needed to get rid of them) and used currants instead of raisins. WONDERFUL!! Will be my new go to banana bread recipe for sure!!

Looks great! Just wondering if this recipe has eggs in it? In the picture it looks like there is an egg but the recipe doesn't include one? Thanks!
