This is fast food: whole grain waffles topped with fresh banana "jam" -- no sugary syrup, no artificial sweeteners you can't pronounce -- just fresh fruit and grains.  Pair this with the world's best latte and you're golden, in 5 minutes, max! *

You'll Need:


2 frozen whole grain waffles 
1 ripe banana
a dash of cinnamon

Here's How:

1. Toast your waffles according to the heating instructions on the package.

2. Meanwhile, use a fork to mash the banana with the cinnamon, as chunky or as creamy as you like your jam. 

3. Top your waffles with the jam, and enjoy!


* I know what you're thinking: The perfect fit cook should whip up her own huge batch of whole grain waffles, freeze them, and enjoy them for weeks to follow.  Sure, it will cost less and I'll have complete control over every ingredient that goes into them. You can, and I ask that you please do, hold me accountable. I'm getting there -- we're all a work in progress! For now, let's take the help where we can get it. I'm made a few of your recipes now and I love that you replace more sugary alternatives with bananas. It takes some getting used to, especially for someone with a HUGE sweet tooth like me, but I've realized it doesn't actually taste all that different and is a LOT healthier! Thank you!
